From November to January, the Christmas decoration in the city is a major attraction. The Christmas events on Ilha Solteira begin with a beautiful parade on the main avenue, with the arrival of Santa Claus and with the lighting of the Christmas lights scattered around the Paiaguás Square. Ornamented houses and trees make up Santa’s Village. Caixa D’Água, one of the city’s landmarks, turns into a beautiful Christmas tree, more than 30 meters tall, and the “Estrela”, another important monument, is illuminated with colored lights.
